Droperidol approval checklist

Confirm every approval criterion before proceeding.

SAT score is +2 or +3, and de-escalation has failed. There is an imminent risk of harm to the patient or others. There is no suspicion of haemodynamic instability. The airway is not compromised and is not likely to be difficult. There is no known allergy to droperidol and no previous dystonic reaction. There is no known or suspected history of Lewy body dementia or Parkinson’s disease. The patient is 8 years of age or older.
